Margareta Firinger was born in 1994 in Zagreb, Croatia. Her first dance steps and theatre performances were realized in the dance studio Lepeza VV. In 2009, she enrolled at the School of Contemporary Dance Ana Maletić, where she gradually devoted herself exclusively to contemporary dance. After graduation, she enrolled at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD). In SEAD, she had the opportunity to work with teachers and choreographers such as Helder Seabra, Julyen Hamilton, Milla Koistinen, Lali Ayguadé, Eléonore Valère, Eduardo Torroja, Meytal Blanaru, and many others.
Margareta has been a member of the Zagreb Dance Company since 2019, and is the newest member of the Škvadra collective. With Škvadra, she worked on the piece “Bazen” ("The Pool") and is committed to further development of common artistic interests and friendships inside the collective. With her longtime friend and colleague, Jovana Zelenović, Margareta is creating and researching her own artistic footprint. The duo presented the piece "Imam te" ("I Got You") in 2021.
